Bobby Ray Duran grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where his passion for the outdoors and the land was shaped at an early age. Raised working alongside his grandfathers—one a cattlerancher in the Jemez Mountains and the other a hay farmer in the Rio Grande Valley—Bobby developed a deep respect for New Mexico’s land, water, and natural resources.
He attended Eastern New Mexico University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Science with a Minor in Agriculture. Driven by his commitment to conservation and resource management, Bobby spent 13 years as a federal fish biologist and currently serves as a wildlife and fisheries biologist for a northern New Mexico Native American Tribe.
Beyond his professional career, Bobby has been a hunting guide with Frontier Outfitting for more than 13 years, leading hunts across the state. This hands-on experience has given him extensive knowledge of New Mexico’s diverse landscapes, wildlife, and ecosystems, while also sharpening his customer service skills—qualities that directly benefit his clients.
Bobby’s unique background—blending ranching, hunting, and wildlife biology—gives him a strong, well-rounded perspective on land stewardship and value. His expertise helps both buyers and sellers navigate the complexities of ranch and recreational properties with confidence.
As part of the Beaverhead Ranch Group team, Bobby brings his deep roots, professional experience, and passion for the land to every client relationship
