Kim is married to her husband, Michael Perry, a retired New Mexico Game Warden and former Assistant Land Commissioner. Together, they share a deep appreciation for the land and for the people who steward it. Their greatest joy is their son, Colton, who lives in Hawaii with hisfiancée, Wesley.

Outside of her career, Kim enjoys spending time outdoors, staying engaged in New Mexico politics, and expressing her creativity through interior design. She also treasures time with her loyal dog, Chief, who rarely leaves her side.
