The Flying Y Ranch is located in South Central New Mexico. The headquarters are located six miles west of 1-25 on a gravel county road, 23 miles north of Truth or Consequences, in Sierra and Socorro Counties. The ranch is approximately135 miles south of Albuquerque, New Mexico and 128 miles north of EI Paso, Texas. The Ranch terrain is somewhat diverse with the topography being areas of level and gently sloping to areas of rougher and more scenic mountainous terrain. In the ranch area the rougher mountainous soils typically provide more recreational uses or wildlife habitat, as compared to the lower flats which will more often provide more of the forage for utilization by livestock.
